The purpose of this guided presentation is to give citizens an opportunity to learn more about electronic voting. The presentation includes a demonstration of the voting process and additional information about issues the voter might be wondering about. In the Municipal Elections 2008 electronic voting will be arranged in three municipalities. According to the amendment to the Election Act, the electronic voting is possible only in the municipalities of Karkkila, Kauniainen and Vihti. A possible extension of the use of electronic voting to other municipalities will be considered on the basis of experience gained in this pilot project.
