Election Dates
Important dates in the European Elections 2009:
- Election Day 7 June 2009
- Advance voting in Finland from 27 May to 30 May and from 1 to 2 June 2009. Advance voting is not conducted on Whit Sunday (31 May).
- Advance voting abroad from 27 May to 30 May 2009
- Confirmation of the candidates 7 May 2009
- Candidate applications must be submitted to the Electoral District Committee of Helsinki on 28 April 2009 before 4 p.m. at the latest
- According to the information in the Population Information System on 17 April 2009, the Population Register Centre compiles a voting register on 22 April 2009.
